She could feel his approval and pride in her words and it built her up. She wanted more than anything to run her hands all over his body, make sure every peice was there, make sure that he'd be able to get up and walk and surf and laugh and be her boyfriend again, but she refrained, her strength and confidence building up for his long journey ahead. She finally resorted to leaning ahead and kissing his cheek chastely, her fingers trailing over his cheek as her lips left it - that part of him was okay.
