Subject: Seeking serious advice.....

and I mean serious advice.

Today, at my job, I found out that a coworker that has been with the company for less time and has less experience knowledge and can do a lot less than I can for the store is making more money than I am.

I have been with this particular store in the company since December 27th of 2000 ... My year came up and passed and it's now into my 15th month and I haven't seen dime one of a raise or an offer of a raise.
Today, I find out that the newest worker at the store who was hired into a position higher than me (a position not offered to me, BTW) is making more than me by $50 gross ... Granted not a lot of money, but by far and away totally defeating the point.

My options are pretty lame at best. 1) demand a raise and if not offered in excess of the newest coworker quit, or 2) cut bait and move on regardless or 3) petition a rival company for my services before quitting or 4) start definitively looking into new career opportunities without having any confrontation about relative pay scales versus value and sever company ties at the first relative wage available.

I'm pissed about this ... I can live on my 4% vacation pay for an extra couple weeks and worst case scenario, I can susvive without a job.

Advice ?
