I guess I should put my imput into this too. Many of you have probably seen the post about my car for sale, that, as of now has fallen through (the car I was buying, 97 Chrysler LHS, got pulled right at the last minute) So, well, Im back to the D. When I see people making amazing machines out of 92 Toyota Tercel's, I feel inspired to do such a thing with the Diamante. C'mon if people can get organized enough to support cars like the Toyota Tercel, or Geo Storm, the Diamante could do the same. I think maybe morale in this sense would be higher if organization was better, this board is a start, but does not quite fill the purpose completely. I always thought something could be salvaged. Then I think about all the other things, about the cost, about the time, about how I have very little of either. (btw: Harry, after some long thought, I was considering the bmw light conversion.) I look at all the newer cars driving around sometimes and I contemplate buying a 00' Accord, or some other import with a huge aftermarket, but maybe it was the lady with 97 LHS deciding not to sell it days before I was going to arrange payments, it reminded me of a famous quote from John F. Kennedy "we choose to go to the moon and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard". (I realize the whole moon thing as nothing to do with cars) Maybe its in the blood, sweat, and tears, when true creativity can turn a normal Diamante into a masterpiece either visually or mechanically. I see a friend of mine meticulously work on and tweak his Geo Storm, ok, yeah, its not worth 1k, but its the time and effort put into it that makes it what it is to that person. You interest and true genuine like for the Diamante is what will define those who stick with it, Anyone can throw money into a car. Even though there may only be a few genuinley interested, if those few work together a lot can be acheived. I dont know how this will all come down, its anybodys guess what becomes of the Diamante community, Harry is an integral player in it, Shiz, even if he has just joined us here, is putting forth great effort, Tomikns and Bicknell, have been here since I first started posting, I know I missed a few people, but you know who you are, I really think a good attempt at organization is worth another shot, at least for all times sake. But then again, I have been quoted as a fool, so please take what I say with a grain of salt, and no offense.
