Redwood does not answer anything that the previous beasts have said, pointed lobes pricked towards the Expanse. The angle of the Den's opening is wrong to see the crash or the explosions, but to a Korat's hearing -or any hearing, for that matter- missiles are loud. Gu darts out of the cavern, frigid blue eyes widening as he sees the glow of eruptions against a butterscotch sky. For a moment, mother and son lock gazes, the former waiting for the news she already knows. "Redwood. There is a battle in the Expanse." Gu's tone is calm and utterly emotionless, though his wickedly sharp tailblade quivers. He wants to fight.

The young tan watches the Tokathe stumble past him and collapse at Redwood's paws. The Original listens, and nods silently. Then her eyes seem to glow and she snaps her head around to stare straight at her Canis-Magi. "Seleth. Heal the boy and transfer the wounds to Akartis immediately. Washi, you are to stay with Seleth at all times. All Anyanans are under TFD's command. You civilians... stay out of this if there is only one Drakka, as of yet. Spread the word of what is happening to the rest of Terole's population." If there are any left. "Phias - I want you near but not on the Expanse." Her cold eyes rest on Devan and Esaki, and for once they soften. "Devan and Esaki, you are to guard the Den until further notice. I will not send my warriors to fight only to return to a ruined base."

His mother's words send chills down the young adult's spine. Akartis can read between the lines - Redwood expects a hard battle. Expects to lose pieces of Terole... if she did not, she wouldn't've made the Den specifically her base. But obeying, the tan moves to Seleth's side as Redwood looks towards the rest of the Den's occupants. "Vygun elite, get to your ships and do what damage you can. Try not to kill any of our warriors, aye?" Putting a bit of battle-humor in her grim voice, the Korat lifts her lip in a snarling grin. "Come, Gutadrae." The red and her younger son lunge forward in a quick run, Gu holding back his superior speed to stay at his mother's side.

Dree's pine-green gaze shifts to TFD and she hunkers near the bigger Aya, a grin wreathing her muzzle but wits telling her to keep silent. War tends to fray tempers.

Washi looks at his fellow Canis with a slight grin, tired but not willing to let his attention falter. After all, he too can read between the lines. He is the ambassador's body-guard, in all aspects. He is a Canis-Warrior, and he will be such in this war. Noble muzzle held high, he sends Seleth an encouraging grin.

The Phias rise to their paws the instant war is mentioned, and eleven pairs of eyes look to the jaguar-formed Migu at their center... who in turn looks at her sister. "We go," is all she says, and in Kalash to boot. The pride of twelve turns as one and lopes towards the Expanse, to station themselves on the borders of Lake M'r'ane and the Expanse.
