A number of points come to mind whilst reading back through this discussion.

There are clearly always going to be drivers who will only be interested in running in Class A. However, ARP like many other series needs a strong Class B to be viable.

Personally I have always been happy to get good "in class" results - in fact I never raced a Class A car in any of the series I've competed in. However, I also want to "race" rather than "drive around", and I think most drivers are of the same view.

It occurs to me that more should be done to publicise the cost effectiveness of Class B. I have moved up from FF2000, and I can tell you that the impression among FF2000 drivers is that ARP is financially out of reach. I believed that this impression was incorrect and I think I have already proven that it is incorrect.

Mike at Reon Motorsport, who are running my Class B Dallara, tells me that I will have two team mates next year. One will be in another Class B Dallara and one in a class A car. The guy in the Class B car is ANOTHER ex-FF2000 driver. We are demonstrating that this is a sensible and achievable move up the ladder.

Since Reon operate in both ARP and FF2000, they are actively encouraging drivers to progress up a ladder of progression through the formulae.

I think this demonstrates that one way of re-building a strong Class B is to convince others in formulae such as BARC Renault, FF2000 etc that ARP Class B is well within reach financially.
