There was no answering call. Only the wind in the trees, through the grass and her own raven coat. Birds called warnings from above and to her right. Curious as to what, besides her own presence had the birds giving their warnings, Ice dropped her muzzle and turned her gaze out over the open lands. Her gaze lighted on the approaching fem, and she bristled, her ruff automatically going up to make herself appear larger, more intimidating. Why she'd take up an aggressive stance was beyond her, after all, she'd put forth the call hoping for some sort of answer, hadn't she? As the other neared, Ice focused on her appearance, healthy, fit, not starving... A loner who knew how to survive without the aid of a pack. Ice relaxed a fraction. Anyone who could survive without a pack was intelligent, and quick on their feet. Ice respected that.

At the other's vocalization, Ice's auds flicked forward to catch the sound, her amber orbs glittering. "Indeed, it's good to see another.. especially in these lands." she didn't recognize the other, but that wasn't to say she wasn't a member of another pack.
