Midnight colored fea looked behind her at the ebony male who had a heck of a time trying to keep up with her as she had sprinted towards the scent of her mate. She could sense what he was thinking as she slowed her pace down almost to a complete standstill as she approached the sleeping form of her mate. Why had she stopped? Why had she not leapt upon him in a crazy passion and covered him with her nuzzles and kisses. And then it hit her...she was truly afraid. Afriad that it was just her imagination playig tricks on her, that she would leap upon his form only to fall into the grass and snow. She looked back to the sleeping form just as it jolted up, small clumps of snow running down the broad, strong back, and the warm and familiar tan and black fur. As he turned she opened her mouth at the same moment as he did but closed it waiting for him to speak first so that she could know that he truly was real, truly was her mate, who was lost and now found. At the sound of his smooth and nervous voice, her guard broke down and tears fell from her face. It really was him, he was alive, surely. If only he would just look up at her. She drank in the sight of him with her eyes...the past years had been good to him as they had been to her. He had matured into a handsome, and extravagantly good looking, well built brute. As his deep eyes finally looked up at her and he flashed his lame but adorable smile, Ice couldn't help but to laugh through her tears. With her own beautiful smile showing she softly answered his question. "More than you could ever know, my love. I think even the brute behind me missed you. " she said as she nodded her head to Ash. She slowly placed one pad in front of the other her eyes questioning him about whether she should approach or if he had been claimed by another fea and had become off limits to even her.
