The room was by no means dark, so he didn't even bother hoping she couldn't see him in the shadows. Though in truth he hadn't been staring at her but rather zoneing out in her direction. He runs a hand through his short hair as she calls Keeneye, frusterated that he'd been caught doing something so utterly stupid.
With an easy grace, the brute lept onto the bed and curled beside her feet, careful not to lay on them. Feet were never comfortable after all. Jayne drops his gaze noticably, as if this could get him out of the situation with his hide still intacked. "Sorry..." He mumbles... wait a minute, he hadn't appolagised to anyone for anything in years!! What the Fuck!?!! He sighs, knowing he'd blown it now, he wouldn't want to see him again now. Now that she though he was some kind of sick perv who watched women sleep. Of corse, many woman would have thought it cute. But Mel wasn't one of those women, Mel was the kind of woman he liked.
His head droped and his shoulders fell as the wiskey kept his defences bogged down. He sighed, his frustration quickly giving way to depression as his emotions caught up with him. He was a moron! It had been his fault Kathrien had died, they'd killed her to get back at him. Now he'd ruined anything that could have happened here because his mind was in turmoil. He was useless in the real world, destined to never find that One and be alone forever. Fuck, he might as well go back into the service! At lest he was useful there, he could kill people...
He shifted off the wall, still a good distance from her as he wasn't a compleat moron, and turned towards the door. He figured she'd want him gone, he was just a creepy old guy after all. And with how useless his defences where now, he couldn't handle being yelled at again.
