He sighed deeply when he saw her withdrawl and he knew it was his fault with his attitude towards her. It wasn't the girls fault and hell, she had just lost her brother, that had to be killing her as much as it was him. As long as she didn't find out it was his fault that Keegan was dead...than she would probably try to kill him in his sleep, not that he didn't deserve it. His eyes moved over her slowly before he shifted, taking off his cowboy hat and setting it aside before he leaned forward in the chair, his hands on his knee's as he gazed at her. "Did I hear you say something about being hungry?" He questioned, attempting to soften his voice and keep some of his feelings from the tone. He really did feel badly about taking out his PTSD on her but it had hit him all the sudden when he had managed to keep it off his mind for a little while at least. "We could get you something here or order in...maybe go out?" He figured he should get to know this girl if he was going to be taking care of her for - his eyes drifted down to the papers to see when her birthday was - seven months. Shit. She was still in school then, unless she gradatuated early which if she was anything like Keegan, she was probably more than capable of doing. He relaxed a bit when he realized that Braden was chilling out a touch and shifted to pat the couch next to him once he sat down, inviting Courtney to join him. He was still debating inviting her over to his place because he knew if he had her there he would want her in his bed and once she was in his bed she wouldn't be leaving that night. That's how it all started with Gia, well, kind of, he had kind of held her there again her will at force. Fuck, that should have been the first clue that things might not go well between them.
