Subject: A bit about Membery and Tomlinson

Tim Membery would have won our goalkicking in 2024 come 3rd in 2022, come equal first with Checkers in 2021, come 2nd in 2020, won it (by miles) in 2019, come top 5 in 2018, won it in 2017, and would be our highest career goal scorer if he joins us next year, having kicked more career goals than either Elliot or Mihocek.

If he is fit and in good nick he would be a walk up start to our 23 any time we wanted to play a 3 tall forward line, and a walk up start any time Checkers or McStay are injured. If we are trusting McStay's knee for 5 minutes of ruck per quarter he is a walk up start over Cox as a forward every day of the week.

Adam Tomlinson would have been our second best defender behind Moore for 1v1 contests this year. Would have been our 3rd best defender behind Quaynor and Moore for percentage of defensive contests lost this year. Would have been our second best defender behind Moore for spoils this year, would have been our best defender ahead of Moore for contested marks this year, would have been our second best defender for intercept possessions behind Moore this year. Would have been our third best defender behind Howe and Maynard for rebound 50's this year.

Basically if he is fit and healthy and in good nick he would be in the mix for us every week that we felt we needed 2 "key" defenders.

Membery and Tomlinson would strengthen our side.
Both would be in the mix for senior selection most weeks.
Both would certainly strengthen our VFL side and provide experience and guidance to our developing youth.
We could have used both this year for major parts of an injury impacted season.

IMV we should pick up both these boys as DFA.
