Subject: What sort of qualifiers are those?

He would've won our goalkicking in 2024?

Here's our 2024 Top 10:

Bobby Hill: 23 games, 30 goals.
Lachie Schultz: 20 games, 24 goals.
Jamie Elliott: 15 games, 21 goals.
Nick Daicos: 23 games, 20 goals.
Brody Mihocek: 11 games, 19 goals.
Patrick Lipinski: 23 games, 18 goals.
Will Hoskin-Elliott: 20 games, 17 goals.
Jack Crisp: 23 games, 17 goals.
Reef McInnes: 9 games, 13 goals.
Harvey Harrison: 12 games, 11 goals.

People wank on, for instance, about Schultz being second in our goalkickers. Yeah, because he played 5 games more than our next-best forward (Elliott), and 9 games more than the next forward (Mihocek).

This is not to bash Schultz, but just to say we had such a problematic year with injury that all the figures are skewed as markers.

Look at our top ten: fourth is Nick Daicos, who played primarily as a midfielder; then you have Hoskin-Elliott, who plays all over; and McInnes and Harrison, who played about half the season, and often as subs.

If Membrey had played for us in any of the years you've cited, you can't just transpose he would've gotten exactly the same amount of goals that he did at St. Kilda.

Circumstances would recontextualise just how effective he was for us, and it's doubtful his output would be the same.
