But in Akrams era, Pakistan gave him and Waqar some decent pitches to work on.

I'd have Akram and Bumrah as comfortably the two most skillful pace bowlers I've seen - can bowl everything at good pace with great control. But Bumrah for me as he gets really dangerous consistent bounce as well as having all those other sideways variations.
