When there are 18 contestants and almost all of them have H&M sometimes it’s hard to stand out even when you’re tall and beautiful. The biggest component is that her interview must also not be good. She is new, it is normal to have to compete and learn and grow. She should keep trying for sure. She also should consider NC USA considering her modeling skills. But this hype crew needs to stop. She clearly needs some time to grow/learn. She was lackluster. Hype crew may have done more harm than good. Her talent needs cleaning (dance world stuff if you aren’t in it you may not understand and that’s ok) her dress like already said was too long she was kicking each time to step in order to not trip it made her have an uncomfortable gait. OSQ was one of the weaker of the 18. Interview if you think about on stage question.. it possibly speaks to private interviews and many need work. I’ve been doing this a very long time. She has a lot of potential but she was not robbed and she is most definitely not the next state winner at this moment in time. I would not be surprised if she worked really hard and came back on top but I also won’t be surprised if she doesn’t come back because her hype crew put so much pressure on her. I do not know Brenna but what was clear is that she has so much talent for this that a good committee would have her top 5 at state no question. Her first being Randolph, I had my eye on her that night and was very surprised when she didn’t win. Could she be a contender? The experience of doing multiple prelims develops the candidate. The candidate that wins the first prelim they enter sometimes lacks in stage experience. Not everyone wins their first prelim and some girls have done multiple prelims before they were crowned and I think that’s because you’ll always land where you need to be. All the things you mentioned that weren’t as good as she is capable of are fixable. She should consider competing again since it’s her last opportunity to go to state as a teen just my opinion.
