Aori sped past cloud after cloud, as she passed each blurry unstable shape, the clouds curved to mark her passings. This was the only way Toluse could ever follow her for very long. She took a long glide straight toward the upper atmosphere where the clouds broke and gave way to a "Highway to Heaven" type scene, where the clouds stretched for miles without a single dip or mountain. Over this vast horizon of twighlight colors, the sun’s pale orange image still stood, as it seemed for all eternity, ageless, and timeless.

She called her playful state of mind to a screeching halt, to take in a moment of serenity that she was lucky enough to witness day after day. She hovered above the clouds and crossed her legs in a relaxing pose, to wait for Toluse to finally catch up. She looked around quietly. Most of the other creatures of Air had already taken to their nests among the clouds in the lower atmosphere. Pulsar had asked to check on Cypress earlier today, she had yet to decide if she should let him go.

Her deep thought was broken buy the movement of one of the clouds in front of her.

What could that be? Most of the inhabitants of this planet nest in the clouds below this altitude….

She shifted to a breeze that would take her closer to the strange moving cloud, and soon, she peered over the edge…
