In all honesty I think the writers got scared. For some reason when they have the chance to bring the show to greater heights (remember the poor episodes or lack of follow up to "Reunion"?), they can't bring themselves to finish it. I know for a fact that the Cordelia lovers were complaining big time and instead of getting a true darkness arc, we got the lame Cordelia filled Pylea arc.

It really doesn't take much to realize that Cordelia focused episodes/plotlines are just plain boring and uninspiring, so why stick with them?

Because she's safe.

The writers would have been doing something *great* *new* and *risky* if they had kept Darla alive and had her try to help raise the baby while still at the same time fight her nature to kill other innocents.

With Darla/baby it would have been fascinating because she actually has more of a reason to curb her nature because of her baby.

We had 150 years of shipping, a baby between 2 vamps, a vampire with a soul, tons of prophecies, and a vampire who's been brought back as a human and turned into a vampire again AND it was her time to go because there wasn't much more to do?

Any one understand that logic?

There was more development potential in her pinky than with the other FG members *combined.*

You really want to do something about this?

I'll leave some links in a new thread above.
