"Two of three. Not as accurate as you must be. No. Your life and career may very well rest on the arrow finding the mark the first time, and often you don't get a clear shot from a comfortable position, in all sorts of conditions. You will practice."

The woman chose a bow randomly from the rack. It was by far not one of the best choices for a weapon, but one couldn't choose all the conditions. A quiver of arrows was slung over her back, and she leapt into a scrawny tree providing meagre shade over the grounds.

"I will be testing you on your ability to make a variety of shots from a variety of odd positions and locations, never the same one twice..."

She began, hooking both the quiver and her knees over branch and dangling upside-down to fit an arrow to the bow and to draw it back.

The branch wobbled, but she waited patiently until it steadied and loosed the feathered missile. It buried itself neatly in the target, nicking one of Aduial's arrows in the process. A few more followed, each clustering near the center of the target, before she dropped to the ground and grinned.

"I don't expect you to shoot upside-down from trees, of course, but get used to the concept that you can't always get the perfect position or a clear shot. Same with equipment. Oftentimes you might have your own, but other times you may just have to make due with whatever is nearby. Now, that should happen rarely. But it does on occasion..."

The quiver and bow were replaced on the rack and she crossed her arms, pausing before moving on to the next point.

"Archery practice is your after-lessons assignment. Now. Lets say you've lost your equipment, and you are on a task. How would you best dispatch your victim, if you are out in the wilderness with no weapons or poison handy?"
