The master grinned slightly, adjusting her stance slightly. It was a barely noticeable move for the most part, just an idle shifting of her weight, eyes continually focused on her student, looking to anticipate any motions he would make...

"Tell me. How much do you know of hand-to-hand combat? Of fighting with polearms? Swords? Axes? Maces? Clubs? Anything that may be fought with in close range. Conventional weapons only, I don't want to know how proficient you are at fighting with a pitchfork in hand... Improvisation is fabulous for times like those when you have a strange weapon..."
