Gotta fix that calender I have
That's marked July 15th
Because since there's no more you
There's no more anniversary
I'm so fed up with my thoughts of you
And your memory
And how every song reminds me
Of what used to be

They were sat at the high stools at the 'bar' that looked out of the window, he'd had Jessie for the day today and had brought her out for some some icecream- which she had begged for, even though it was so cold. He watched while she ploughed her way through the strawberry sundae infront of her, her sat on his lap so she could reach and he wasn;t worried about her falling off the stool every minute. He couldn;t help but notice how much better she had been doing over the last week or so... she was cheerful and in good spirits, despite her constant trips to the hospital for her treatment and tests. They had celebrated her fifth birthday last week with a trip to the zoo, it was hard to believe his little girl was five now... there had been a point when Ash had first turned up with her that he didn;t even think she'd see four.

"I had a job interview this morning." She stated before she stood up. "Come on Jessie, lets go wash up." She stated, heading towards the bathroom with the little girl to wash her up before she came back out. She sent Jessie over to play with things in the toy chest before she sat back down next to Marc, looking out over their daughter before she spoke softly. "She's out of remission." She stated softly, her voice sad and almost resigned. "The cells aren't producing as fast this time, so they think that they should be able to keep it under control with less Chemo then last time..." • He let out an almost heartbroken sigh as he followed her gaze to their daughter, the pain clear in his eyes... he didn;t want her to go through all that again... she was so young and had been through so much already... it just wasn't fair. "She's been doing so well too... When do they start the chemo?" He just wished things could have been easier for them... it seemed fate was out to keep them apart- what with her running away, getting pregnant so young, all their daughters health problems and his screw ups. • She sighed softly in return, gazing at their daughter before she turned to face the window for a second, taking a deep breath before she spoke quietly. "In about a week, I think. I have to take her back to the doctors in two days and they will do another check up then." She stated softly, her eyes turning to his. "She's still on your insurance, right?" She questioned softly, that was one of her big worries, she couldn't afford these doctors appointments and such, her brow furrowed a little as she questioned him. She just wanted to know that her daughter was cared for. (NT) -- Ash, Sun, Feb 05 2006, 12:45pm PST
  • He frowned a little at that and nodded his head quickly, glancing back to her "Don't worry about anything like that... money isn't an issue...." Money should be the least of their worries... and he was glad he could at least do that much for his daughter. He glanced back to Jessie and sighed deeply, running a hand over his head before looking back to Ash "You doing okay?" He meant after the news about Jessie, but he was always asking after her. He made sure she always had money, gave her more than he needed to for jessie... he didn;t want either of them to be without. "I'm off work for a few weeks... got a bullet in the shoulder last week but its nothing really- they just think I need the rest... but it means i can come tot he doctors appointments and treatments with you... if you don;t mind..." (NT) -- Marc, Sun, Feb 05 2006, 1:33pm PST
  • She didn't want to be worrying about him but it was her natural instinct. She had been in love with this boy since she was barely fifteen years old, they had been everything to each other despite the difference in their social classes. It was just second nature for her to frown, her hand gently going to his shoulder when he talked of being shot. "Took a bullet?" She questioned, her brow furrowed. He had come home more then once a little banged up but that didn't mean she didn't worry any less. "Are you ok, really?" Her pretty little brow was furrowed, her eyes on him with concern lingering in their blue depths. (NT) -- ASH, Wed, Feb 08 2006, 12:13pm PST
  • It was warming to see that she was still concerned for him, just like he was for her- despite everything he'd done. he hated himself for hurting her- and he;d gladly take a hundred bullets as punishment- he deserved it. "Yeah... im fine..." He nodded a little as if to confirm this, his brow furrowing a touch as he looked back to their daughter... He wished he could spend more time with her- especially now... they didn;t know how much longer they would have left. "I wish I could be there all the time... I know I screwed up... and im not asking you to forgive me... but would you consider moving back in Ash? I just... I couldn;t stand not to be there... if something happened...." (NT) -- Marc, Wed, Feb 08 2006, 1:30pm PST
  • She let out a soft breath at that, her hand running down her face as she looked back to the little girl who was playing happily in front of them. Her heart clenched in her chest at the idea that anything might even possibly happen to her, she couldn't lose her baby. "Nothing is going to happen." She stated, her voice a little thick as she frowned swallowing heavily against the thickness in her throat. "You can come to the doctors appointments whenever you can, of course." She stated softly, her brow furrowed, not answering his question about moving back in, not yet at least. (NT) -- Ash, Wed, Feb 08 2006, 1:34pm PST
  • He let his dark brown eyes move back to her, his brow furrowed heavily "I wanna spend as much time as I can with her Ash.... please just think about it... I miss you... her... I miss both of you..." He set his jaw a little as he turned his full attention back to her, taking her hand almost pleading "Please baby.... " He couldnt think of anything else to say that would express his desperate need for her- and for their little girl, back in his life... his world was so colourless without them. • She let out a soft breath, her brow furrowed gently as she tried to think of how to phrase this. "If it didn't work last time, then there was something obviously wrong, something about our relationship that was making you unhappy..." She murmured softly, her eyes honest and deep with unshed tears as they rested on his. "I don't want to keep you away from Jessie, I want you to be able to see her whenever you want Marc, I really do." She spoke earnestly, hoping he would take her as seriously as she was feeling. "...but I...I still love you, Marc, and I can't..I can't be around you without wanting to be with you and without thinking of how I wasn't enough and...it hurts. It hurts really, really bad, Marc." They had never really spoken about what happened, she had just said she was leaving, he slept on the couch and the next day she was gone. (NT) -- Ash, Wed, Feb 08 2006, 2:42pm PST
