Subject: It is very tough. I had severe pain with my periods which led to a diagnosis of endometriosis 11 years after initial onset of symptoms. I take my dancers’ pain seriously and refer them to their doctors for further evaluation.

As someone who did not have my pain taken seriously growing up, I hope to be that advocate for my dancers going forward. Competing was very tough while on my period.

  • Periods can be debilitating for some. My dancer almost missed a round because she bled through her kickpants. we've tried period underwear and that helped on light days. -- CC, 10:18:11 08/06/24 Tue
