Subject: Sounds like these "non dancing peers" are the weird ones and not true friends. I personally know several current World Champs who are on sports teams in school along with dance.
In reply to: Enjoy HS or dance 's message, "Absolutely. It is near impossible to have a “normal” high school experience and be a WQ. Plus, their non-dancing peers find it weird, which no teen wants." on 06:16:12 08/31/24 Sat

My own dd - multiple title holder/WMH does ALL activities except a sports team at high school. She never misses a school dance and excels in her school government, clubs, academics and theatre productions. Still has time to see friends at least once a wknd and all summer. Her friends and school celebrate her successes - I don't know where your child goes to school but sorry she's not supported in the same way.

So ice skaters, equestrians, ballerinas, - are those considered "weird" too? Or are you just an ID hater for personal reasons?
