I am assuming you don’t know what has been going on with CLRG. They are on the verge of bankruptcy. Attempting to apply discipline to teachers/adjudicators who cheated resulted in law suits that sucked CLRG coffers dry. The ONLY reason they are in the expensive Dublin venue this year is because it was contracted before the scandal really hit.

It’s incredibly tone deaf to criticize CLRG making a financially responsible decision to retrench and scale back the opulence of the event in 2026. I would much rather have a world championship that has the aesthetics of a nationals than lose CLRG and any future worlds ever.

Start saving your Pennies. Dancers in the US take the lions share of travel costs traveling to the UK and Ireland most years. (And don’t even get me started on those poor Australians!). You can come to Illinois and maybe discover it’s not quite as bad as a Dublin fish market.
