You're right, the discussions did not convince (Ex)UBFSoul. However, they made him aware of the problem, he then claimed the problem did not exist, until he experienced it himself. So I would relativize it a little bit. This forum can provide some help for these people. They show them that other people exist who have a different opinion and confront them somewhat with reality. But without readyness to discuss, to question their organization and their own way of life, motives etc. and without readyness to listen to their conscience and sound reason, or for people with a deadened conscience, nothing can be done, however good arguments and testimonies will be presented here. And here is the problem. The remaining members are lacking this willingness to care or to think, they lack conscience or moral/ethical standards (one missionary told me abortions are not unchristian), they lack conscience or it is already dead, or they are indoctrinated beyond return. Anyway they won't come out. A ex UBF Korean missionary from my chapter expressed this by saying: "All who should come out have come out."
