Hello Second Gen.

I am glad you wrote. But let me honestly ask you and bring up a couple things.

>Well, a lot has changed in UBF over the past couple of
>years.

Like what? Seriously i would like to know.

>I met Christ through "devotionals" led by Sh JD, and that >really revolutionized CBF and JBF, and UBF as a whole. CBF >is not just a superficial >bible study thing anymore; >JBF/HBF is amazing...we are reaching out to high school >students in Chicago like never before to meet Christ.

Ok now this is a very interesting point you just brought up. I don't doubt that you met Christ through JD. I am glad for you. Praise God. I also know JD and i believe he was good for HBF. My question is now if he was so great why did he leave HBF. Why did many parents want him out. Explain to me honestly your feelings on his departure.

>My friend was growing a lot spiritually and getting to >know more about Jesus, but then now she doesn't want to >explore Christianity anymore because of the stuff she read

Ok lets stop right here. It is so funny and pathetic that you blame this site for her leaving. This site gave UBF a great opportunity to gain credibility. How powerful a witness it would have been if UBF leaders acknowledged this site and publically repented of any wrong doing and really changed. How powerful a witness of the changing blood of Jesus it would have been if UBF leaders repented. Then it would have been no big deal if anyone reads this site because it all would be irrelevent. This site would be nothing but ancient history. The thing that really made her leave was she could not see that the things on this sight were ancient history. If UBF leaders would have repented it would have been obvious to her that things were different. I would bet what she read matched what she saw and she decided UBF was not for her. So don't blame this sight blame the unrepentant leaders.

Please see above response.

Second gen, seriously what do you think about what i said. I am not here to condemn anyone and would greatly like to chat with you some more. For the record I am not as anti-UBF as some here but also I speak the honest truth. Lets just be honest and truthful and i think we can easily be brothers in Christ.

Thank you
God be with you
