How does change start. Well we dont expect the first change to be with the organisation. Change will first affect individuals. If only a few individuals change then little effect will be had on the organisation. I quickly realized in the past when I started trying to change the world, the first thing that would have to change would be me.
I started this correspondence because rightly or wrongly I thought I detected encouraging statements from low level ubf members. If change is going to start, this is where it will begin. It could well be where it will end, I dont denny that.
I think bringing in the subject of Jackie Lee was a red herring, that brought nothing to the debate. I dont imagine Sarah would have heard of her, so why mention it.
However Nick who brought up the point mentioned something very interesting in a previous letter. One of Nicks favorite subjects is the failure of UBF in America. He mentioned I think it was the case of Daniel Hong and his individual barran minestry, I seem to recall that he also talked about the children of UBF leaders rejecting ubf and speculated on the effect that this would have on these leaders. Would it mellow them. I think this is a valid observation. This could be a factor in the beginning of change. Failure is a great change motivator. There is a saying "You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. Look at Communist Russia.
An observation that I noticed that I was suprised nobody picked up on was this. Somebody reported that in 2006 Sarah Barry would be replaced by Jon Jun as World Leader. Why is this happening?
Now Jon Jun is a failure, look at the way his incompetence messed up Korean ubf. I wonder how Barry feels about this.
Probably she and her supporters are not very happy.
When the strong man goes and there is no obvious leader the rot sets in.
If this report was true about the change of leadership, ubf could be in for a period of some fun and games.
I am going to stick my neck out and say that I think I see the beginnings of change. The reasons for these changes unfortunatly could be sociological rather than the work of the Holy Spirit.
