talkative, hmm? two cents is good. Very good.

Powerups - I'm thinking sort of like levels. They'd have perhaps their own set of points, acchieved for posting and helping out the clan and stuff, and like they'd have to have a certain amount of points to do certain things, and for a powerup (becoming more powerful) they'd have to have a lot of points... Like maybe 100-150 for one powerup? Cuz if we have like ability powerups every 50 or so, then... But how do you think this system should work? I figure that the more powerups you have, you'd be more powerful and able to do more. I can't have shamans running around that don't weaken, or die... I mean, I'd have to say that shamans would indeed have to weaken, and have a limit on spells. Say that they can maybe do 5 spells at a time before they can't do any more without rest and a few days off (like 2-3 days they can't perform spells or something) and as they power up they can do more spells and recovery time is cut down (like with one powerup they can do 8 spells @ a time without rest, and have only a 2-day recovery time, and then another powerup brings it to 10 spells, etc...)

Guidelines - whoa, a lot of that last part of your msg, Branwen, was kinda muddled and confusing. reexplain, please? but I was thinking kind of like they can't be all powerful, can't be immortal, don't rule the world, etc. I'm also perhaps thinking of playing a chief shaman or something, a sort of advisor that keeps shamans on the right track, and keeps them in line, that sort of thing. Kind of like a master of the order, so to speak. He may be the point-awarder too... I'll probably say he'll have a touch more abilities than the average shaman, as since he is the master of the order he'd indeed have to be more powerful than his fellows... And plus, he'd have to see the shamans to give 'em points, hmm? I also think that maybe he could be an guide, and advisor, teach them new skills, help them on their journeys to the spirit world, perhaps generally just be... that shaman-master guy up there in that tower that helps out a lot. perhaps he'll also be useful for those folk who need a shaman's aid but don't yet have a clan... I'd probably be willing to play the 'spirits' and 'power animals' that would be attached to the shaman job, so it gives it a more realistic flavor - as in, the shaman, unless powerful enough, may not quite be as fully in control of spirits as a more powerful shaman and junk like that... make the shaman's job more exciting, and give me something else to do in the RP department. How's that sound? I still have a LOT of thinking to do on this blurb here... Sry if it sounds confusing or whatever :(

Apprentices - I'm going to say, one at a time perhaps. Maybe the master shaman dude could be the tester and approver, but the shaman could 'choose' their own apprentice to 'submit' for testing. They'd only become full shamans when their master croaks, or a new clan comes along and they split after they've completed their training to hook up a shaman job.... or something. Then the shaman can 'submit' another potential apprentice. They're allowed to have one at a time. But the apprentice CAN'T become a shaman until a job for shaman opens up, whether their clan's shaman dies or another clan needs one. And then, and only then, when their apprentice is gone (whether it was death or advancement to shaman), then they can take on another. I'll say the master shaman dude will do the 'ceremony' approval thing, so it's more of an ic thing... Tasks and ooc 'test'...

Hows that sound? Opinions? Questions? Comments? Suggestions?
