No big deal! If you are an adult and this was your first time getting a rectal temperature taking, that might have caused you some angst, but I hope you didn't experience any discomfort. Did you really want him to put a thermometer in your behind? Not that there is anything wrong with that, especially if you are sick, as taking a rectal temperature is considered "The Gold Standard" of temperature taking, along with the preferred use of the older glass mercury thermometers designed for rectal use (pear shaped bulb). If this was your first rectal temperature (and I suspect you're an adult)will this be your preferred route in the future for having your temperature taken? It didn't hurt at all so I didn't suffer any discomfort. And I wasn't sick it was just part of a deal me and him made I he did something for me he would get to do that to me. It wasn't bad at all just was a different feeling something I'm not used to. It was very easy he had me bend over a little bit I had pulled my pants down and he pulled my underwear down. And that and I helped him out a bit my spreading my buttocks and he just slid it in... Now I don't know if I would prefer it all the time for my temperature to be checked that way but if a doctor or nurse wanted to check it that way or needed to I wouldn't say no [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
