Why would anyone cry, beg and plead for an enema? That's disgusting!

Yes I did once many years ago while staying with my eldest sister Joyce who was already maried with kids.
Although the e-word was not mentioned I overheard her youngest daughter Tammy pleading: "Awww PLEEEZE Mommy! Cant you just do it for me like you used to and get it over. It works so fast and I dont care even if it hurts!".
My sister responded that she wasnt keen on it and suggested some medication (which I cant remember)
Tammy refused quite adamantly "Oh I hate that stuff! Besides
Janice and her friends gonna be leaving soon and I wanna go with em! Pleeeze Mommy ! Its so easy..."
My sister just sighed and finally said "OK go wait in the bathroom while I try and find that thing"
A short time later familiar sounds from the bathroom seemed to indicate Tammy's enema was in progress.
Anyway she looked a lot happier when she came out.
Although Joyce never discussed the matter with me and I never asked (or actually saw "that thing") it could have been a bag, however I rather suspect it was a rubber bulb syringe (most likely covered with cobwebs).
