I would add...

When the politicians only pander to the lowest common denominator (the minorities) the social contract ceases to exist.

A democracy is supposed to pander to the majority. That is how it is supposed to be BUT now it only works for the minorities that only take and contribute nothing at all and perp almost all the crime.

It's been a race to the bottom for a long time. Well, the bottom is approaching fast.
