Subject: HS Finals

Wjth all the hard work and long hours put in by close to 800 volunteers last week, looks like a couple of camel jockeys at the Days Inn and Rodeway Inn jacked the price of rooms up after the deal was made and Farmington is getting as much press over that as any of the good things. They said they needed to take advantage of the situation to make money while they could. Didn't even try to deny it, but spoke right up.

Back in the late 60's and early to mid 70's my mom was secretarian rodeos, which was the old fashioned way of being at the rodeo several days before it started and taking phone calls for entries. You could go to town and buy an ice cream cone for 10 cents. The day before the rodeo started the ice cream cone was 25 cents until the rodeo ended.
