Salaam alaikum sister Layla. Finally I was able to get in i have A question. I started to read a book called Kitab Al- Iman and in the opening Capter one fists paragraph page 18 It states "we testify that Muhammad (pbuh) and his family is His servent and Messenger. The reference to his family as servents and messengers is this a miss print or a miss quote? Just curiouse. I have never seen it put in this manner. Hope all is well with everyone at the site. I sure miss you all. Thank you sister. Love Lara

As Salamu Alaikoum,

Praise be to Allah.

Laura, one of the first things we taught you is to be careful of reading books and pamplets written by just anyone. Anyone can write a book. I told you to focus on reading the Quran and the Hadith books.

As you know, the Prophet Muhammad was the LAST prophet of Allah. No one else was a prophet after him. No one in his family is a prophet after him. The Shahada does not include testifying that Muhammads family are messengers of Allah. The only people who make this claim are SHIAA'S. They worship Ali and say that he is Allah in human form.

Again I tell you to throw away these books and pamplets you receive and pick up from peoples whom you do not even know well, and just stick with reading the Quran and the Hadith books. There are 9 volumes of Sahih Al Bukhari and 7 volumes of Sahih Muslim. I know you have not sat and read thru those entire books.

Being that you are new to Islam you will have people coming to you from all directions telling you to read this book and that book to try to win you over to their sect or way of thinking. And being that you are new to Islam you will not know how to tell if the way they are steering you is right or wrong. So for this reason we have instructed you to stay away from these pamplets and all and just stick to learning the Quran and the Hadiths. Islam is based on the words of Allah (Quran) and the sayings and doings of the Prophet(saw) (hadiths) so what need do you have as a new convert to even think to read someone else's writings?

If you have questions about things then you have us here at this website to answer and explain things to you.. and Allah has made this even better by giving us a highly acclaimed scholar... Shaykh Muhammad Syed Adly, to guide and lead us.. so again, what need do you have for these other pamplets and books?

Remember, it is Shaytaans job to take us from the path of righteousness and lead us down the road to evil. You have been away from us for a couple months now due to your personal situation and thus, this is the time that the Shaytaan will try steer you from the right path. The prophet(saw) said, "The greatest weapon that the muslim has against Shaytaan is each other.."

Do not succumb to Shaytaan by accepting everything that people claiming to be Muslims give you to read. Stick to the Quran and Sunnah as you have been taught. There are hours upon hours of beautiful reading from these 2 sources, and what better source is there to detail to us how to live our dailey lives other than the hadiths??

Hurry back to home to this website and your circle of believers...

Laila
