I'm glad it was dark when I lost my grip on that club:-)

Absolutely on easing into the swing. When we (vs. pros) feel like we go all out from the top, I'm think most of us wind up 'throwing' the club and loosing the angle almost immediately. I think when pros go all out, their technique locks in that angle so they don't loose this as they swing faster.

What I've found (and I think Remington now) is that the release is not only faster but in a different direction than I had experienced. Previously my release felt like it all occurred in a plane defined by the shaft and my left arm. In thinking about this now that never should have made sense because with the IMA left hand grip the shaft and the left arm are not on the same plane.

Now the release feels like the club snaps out above the plane. The feel is like the club is going horizontally out to the ball. This is not the way it appears on video but that is how it feels relative to before.

This movement generates a large rotational force on the left hand.

Peter
