Subject: First fanfics?

I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the first XF ep to inspire fanfic was?? Now, I've read several that take place during or immediately after the Pilot ep, but I'm pretty sure they weren't written right after the ep first aired. It think they were mostly written during season three or beyond, but just went back and picked up on the events of that ep.
The "earliest" fanfic I've ever come across was one that was written between the events of "Anasazi" and "The Blessing Way". I guess it was written in the summer between seasons two and three. It had Mulder recovering from his boxcar burns, then he and Scully getting married and moving to New Mexico to take positions as college professors out there, then Skinner coming and asking them to help out with a special investigation. It was really good. It was obviously written before the events of "BW" because Melissa Scully was still alive in it.
The real glut of fanfic seems to have begun during seasons three and four. There are *tons* of post-Pusher fanfic, post-Small Potatoes fanfic, etc.
I once wrote a story that harkened back to the events of "Young at Heart" during season one, but it was just Mulder and Scully talking about things that had happened then. . .they were really supposed to be in a post-season six stage of their relationship. But several people wrote me and said that fanfics based on season one eps are pretty rare.
Shipper though I am, the *earliest* I would have wanted Mulder and Scully to become romantically involved would have been maybe after the events of "End Game" in season two. Prior to that, they simply didn't know each other well enough and it would have just been a case of yet another TV show throwing in a "sex between the leads" scene to spice up the ratings.
