In many countries, if a donor donates for a married couple, then he has no legal obligations or rights to be exempted from. The mother's husband is the legal father.

There are plenty of men out there paying for children that are not theirs. Since they were married to the mother at the time, they are financially responsible. Even if they divorce the mother, and get a DNA test proving that they are not the biological father, they still have to pay.

The woman that gives birth is the legal mother too btw, even if she used donated eggs.
