Yes you are correct however, I take it straight from Acts 2 38-39 in its own context.

Consider, that while Peter is saying the words It is the Holy Spirit itself guiding and telling Peter what to say..

the gift is somethingfrom the holy Spirit.Not the Holy Spirit itself.
