Dear Brian, I am sorry because I am not able to solve your identification problem, however I share with you the necessity to find, if any, a decent botanical treatment of the genus Carpobrotus, with keys and any other topics useful to identify the species of this very interesting and "mesembryanthemologically" neglected genus. I am studying the species naturalised along the coasts of Italy and in general of the Mediterranean region and to this regard I encountered various, unsolved problems. For example, are C. chilensis and C. aequilaterus two species or one? What are the limits between C. acinaciformis and C. rossii etc......?
Enrico Banfi (I am sorry for my bad English!)
