Subject: MTC-W Posts their Judges on the website last years are still up. There is a entire section and they are in the program book and they are all introduced during the show. Ya where is the photoshoot? Amateur that is a very good word to use for them. For me MWC is just not interesting you can not even really get a good look at the girls the photos are so bad. I am still wondering where they are from.. there are just no details. And these little details are real simple to do an would make the public happy. Hmmm does the organization actually care? Is it a priority or is it just a quick cash grab? Subject Author Date In all fairness, I think both pageants allow girls that clearly don't stand a chance nor fit into the pageant world. However, MUC website is way better that MWC. Personally, Im fed up of MUC always being from Ontario especially from GTA...I would love to see a winner outside of Ontario for once. As for MWC, time will tell, maybe there will be some major upgrades in the future. I do personally miss MWC under the management of Connie Fitzpatrick, Jimmy Steele and that crew...the first years were amazing (2003-2007), then it disappointed me in 2008 and 2009. I think you should preface this by saying that this is just your opinion - and and UNFORMED one at that.....Whilst the 2008 gil did not place -neither did 2007 or 2004 . The 2009 winner (who apparently dissapoint you) (Lena Ma) placed SECOND HIGHEST at MW in Canadian Pagenant history - So if your OPINION is that the winners were not beautiful, then that is not the fault of the organizer, it was the judges choice, and in 2008 Jimmy Steel and Connie Fitzpatrick WERE judges as, and Connie was a judge in 2009 (which is unethical in my opinion) - And as far as I know in 2003 (the first for that org) MWC under that management - only had 6 contestants (the winner eventually went on the place 1st RU at MW) (NT) -- Zinger, 13:04:34 05/20/11 Fri I clearly stated that this was my opinion from the very beginning. Yes, it was maybe the judges fault, but still, they got accepted as candidates by the organization. Also, I didn't imply that all the girls placed, I just said that I found them to be all gorgeous from 2003-2007, and then not up to international standards (again, thats my personal opinion). I was at the show, and saw her speak on stage, and put the sash on Lena Ma (NT) Zinger 04:28:42 05/20/11 Fri To also be fair, it's incredibly expensive for girls to compete if they don't live near the pageant location - travel alone can be pricey. Imagine the cost of travelling from the Maritimes to B.C. for a 'national' pageant! And in places like NB and PEI, there isn't much 'push' for pageantry. NL and NS are far better; NL has an incredible pageant community. But that - and the smaller populations - are why you don't see as many girls from those areas. I can't speak for out west.
