Hi Anne,
You get the best weight loss if you stick well to the plan, especially in the first two weeks. The other day I found low carb chocolates and ate 4. They were supposed to be under 1 gram of NET carbs. Well, I've gone up a pound and a half and I'm still waiting to drop it. It will come off, if I stick to the program. Which I'm not going to do this weekend.

But on Monday, I'll continue the battle. It is ongoing and so many things can affect it. Sometimes I can put my finger on what's going wrong and make changes. Other times, I just don't understand it.

The one thing that I HAVE learned is that everyone reacts to a diet differently. Some people lose a lot of weight on a diet, recommend it and the other person loses nothing. You must find out what's right for you. Have you ever done a diet in the past that really worked well? If so, try it again. When you get sick of it, try another one. Just as long as you are trying to change, it will happen.

As far as this plan, it works best if you have your carbs in the morning only. I don't know why, but it does. When I tried to do just Suzanne Somer's diet, she said you could have a carb meal at night. I always gained weight the next day. So, I wouldn't recommend carbs at all through the day except the morning. And things like regular icecream are killers. All the carbs and fat together, even in a small serving, will completely throw off your plan.

Just know that we are ALL fighting this and believe me, it's not easy. Very frustrating in fact. Have you ever tried Weight Watchers Anne? I would like to try it sometime. Many people have had success with it. Bob doesn't have a choice because all the other diets have too many carbs, but Kate and I could give it a try if it sounded good. I am getting sick of all the meat. It would almost be nice to do low fat for a few days and then come back to this.

Keep trying, avoid any fat/carb things and maybe you'll see a change. If not, let me know if you find anything that Kate and I can try.
