Subject: Anyone compared X5 and MXT?

They seem to be pretty similar in core inner-workings and being designed by the same guy, I imagine they share a lot of internal function.

Has anyone had a chance to put them side-by-side (or at least compare the two one after another) to see which one performs better?

Most of the reports I've seen say the MXT is not *quite* as deep as the Explorer, but close. The hype suggests that the X5 is deeper than the MXT, but the fact that the MXT has a meter, depth meter, and relic mode makes me think it's more bang for the buck, but if the X5 has the better discriminator and is deeper, then that would be to me worth the extra $$.

Ralph, have you had a chance to try both?

Thanks guys,

-J
