Subject: Fisher Gold Strike Poll

Hi Everyone,

One of my favorite detectors has been the Fisher Gold Bug 2. When rumor of the Gold Strike appreared I was very excited. I anticipated a "Gold Bug 3" which would basically be a Gold Bug 2 with optional automatic ground balance. My dream unit would also have dual operating frequencies.

But what appeared was a bulkier detector, with battery lids now covered by the handle, harder to operate, and all for a higher price. Or am I missing something?

So I'm curious. Are there any Gold Bug 2 owners out there who have happily converted to the Gold Strike? If so, what were your reasons?

As for me... I'm still waiting for the Gold Bug 3.
