Author: Affects all
Subject: But this is the misconception, it does affect your child. If a child that was going to place behind your child gets extra points from back hand deals, your child does not place as well, does not qualify for Worlds or even get a recall because other dancers are being bumped up as favours.
In reply to: DM 's message, "I am neither a teacher nor is my child promoted on social media by me or her teacher. I simply don’t have a problem with it as it doesn’t affect me or my child, I just scroll on. Barging into my child and dancing aggressively on stage however does affect my child and all the dancers who have to share a space with them. It’s poor etiquette, bullying and dangerous." on Sat, Sep 23 2023, 18:13:01"

  • You may scroll on, but others don't. In context, barging has nothing to do with the premise of the original post. Barging is a terrible tactic and hopefully at the time, judges see it for what it is and mark accordingly, however social media posts are a completely different beast – posted for longevity and with the purpose to give judges an unconscious bias, rather than neutrality.
