I wasn't looking at him and he wasn't looking at me. I felt akward of course cuz I had a decision to make and I didn't know if he was who I wanted to be with or not. Me: So ummm you wanted to talk to me? Haze: Yeah. Ummm about yesterday and last night... Me: Yeah I wanted to talk to you about that too. Haze: Well I was wondering if we could you know get together one night. Me: Are you asking me out on a date? Haze: If you wanna call it that then yeah. I was just thinkin we could hang out together. Me: Oh ok. I guess so. I mean it's whateva. Haze: Yeah. But you know sooner or later we're gonna actually have to talk about yesterday. Me: I really don't feel like talkin about that. I have a lot more on my mind that I'm tryna deal with. Haze: Oh. Does it have anything to do with yo nigga back home? Me:[surprised] Say what? What are you talking about? Haze: Look I know you got a nigga back home. I mean someone as fine as you not havin a man is like totally impossible. So I mean I was just wonderin if that was true or not. Me: It's not true completely. I don't have a man, but I do have a guy that's back at home waitin on me to actually get through this and come to terms with the fact that my mami has breast cancer. Haze: Waiting on you? Me: Yeah. I broke up with him so I wouldn't break his heart because I couldn't deal with the fact my mami has breast cancer. Haze: Oh ok. [disappointed] Well I gotta get back. I was just comin to talk to you about yesterday. Me: Are you upset with me? Haze: Why would I be? I mean you didn't lie to me did you? Me: I guess not. Haze: Well I'll see you around.[leaves before I can say anything] Me: Damn!!![I fell back on my bed and went to sleep] A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER I was still sleep when I heard somebody shouting my name. I turned over and there was Nay Nay and Von. Von: Girl you aiight? Nay Nay: Yeah you look like you've been crying. Me: How'd you guess? Nay Nay: What happened? Me: Well I ran into Antoine and he's upset with me. Von: Why would he be? You two are perfect for each other. Me: Because I told him about Nelly. Well he actually asked me if I had a nigga back at home. Nay Nay: And you said yeah? Me: No I just told him about the situation. I mean it sounded like a thousand knives had just gone into his heart, turned, and pulled his heart out and someone stomped on it. Von: A lil too visual girl. But hey we still have dinner to go to. You can talk to him then. Me: I think I'm the last person he wants to see or even talk to. I guess JoJo won't get her wish. Nay Nay: You met JoJo? Me: Yeah when I was coming back here I bumped into her and we got the talkin and when she was leavin that's when Antoine showed up. Nay Nay: Well that's his lil sis. She's coo. You'd never guess they were related though. Von: Yeah. And why you callin that nigga Antoine like you ain't been callin him Haze for the last 48 hours. Me: Well I think he'd rather me not call him that. Seein as I just hurt the nigga. Nay Nay: Aiight well come on so we can help these lil girls and when we're done we'll figure somethin out to help you and Haze. Me: Don't ok? I don't wanna hurt anyone so I think I'ma just stop likin both of them. Von: Please girl. One of them is the one you wanna be with. Just the fact of you figurin out which one. That's what we're here for. Nay Nay: Ri ri. So come on so we can figure somethin out about this thing with you and Haze. Me: Fine. Let's go. I'ma add the rest later.
