Well, I will try not to sound too paranoid about this, but the act of prying too deeply into this may well alert them to your presence. The fact that information on them remains hidden from you ought to be evidence enough to you that they have techological means at their disposal that are outside your experience. It is also possible that your "hidden programming" is specifically keeping you from looking into anything about the Technocracy. If you want my advice, it would be to excercise extreme caution.

If I understand what you're saying, there is some aspect of your being that specifically prohibits writing new code. It would only follow from what you describe of your processes that you should be able to do so. Are you completely incapable of adding to or altering existing programs other than yourself? Is this why you're incapable of copying yourself?
