It was an ordinary day for Ashur, guard the castle, guard the King's stuff until he returns, guard the Queen, guard the princesses. Luckily for Ashur the day was not ordinary for long, for it was about noon when a single old man came running toward the castle yelling orders as if there were and entire army behind him. One of the guards under Ashurs command, like all the guards were, commanded the man to halt and continue this escapade no more, the man did not stop. Knowing that he did not want to kill an old man, or at least not today decided to meet this man at the gates. Apon opening the giant gates and walking to the man, Ashur notices that grasses were moving opposite the winds, and the edge of the town was quite. Apon noticing this Ashur ran for the castle only to be meet with and arrow in the back from the grasses, and a small army of rebel militants. Ashur only laughed at this for he knew there was one thing these rebels wanted, to get into the castle. Ashur was not about to let this happen. Then he yelled,"Gates Close, guard stand ready." He was not in a forgiving mood, for no man with a arrow in the shoulder would be, and did not give any of the rebels a chance to give up. Drawing a set of semiauto pistols from their holsters he began firing, starting with the old man who was now no long on a cane acting crazy but now with a sword drawn and rushing the gates. This was not Ashurs day for before the battle was over he had jammed three pistols, broken two swords, which a dead rebel had "loaned" him, and a tower guard had been hit by an arrow and fell killing him instantly. By the end of the bloody battle the gates were blocked by dead bodies, thus keeping Ashur from getting in. After getting some valuable weapons, and armor from the recently dead, he proceeded to town. He knew a few people that would be interested in these goods and would let him clean up, one such man/changling was an owner of a respectable tavern in the town. He also wondered if that young lady was there again, the two had, had a good evening, and he had hoped for another, was forced to leave immediatly due to an attack at the castle, such as the one this very day. Finally he arrived at his destination, The Bloody Mongol as fine an eating establishment as you could find in these parts, suddenly he saw Arcane sitting at a table with two beautiful young ladies, doing his job, one Ashur had often thought about taking over if he weren't so well known. Then again the ladies should line up for the commanding royal guard, of course that is they should, but don't often. "No matter," Ashur thought Arcane would not approach him if he did not have a really good reason. "I will do my business then leave," Ashur said to himself confidently. Ashur relized that the queen wished for Arcane to "investigate" a young woman on the other side of town, no matter he seemed to be involved at this point, but he knew he should get word to him if possible. Ashur entered The Bloody Mongol, just as he had relized that one of the ladies with Arcane had been with him just days before...
