Subject: powered masks / goggles

Thot I'd drop a useful note. Since most of us are 4-eyed! : Just came from Berjaya - they have no powered masks or goggles. Thank heavens I had my +5 goggles. I joined in on snorkelling trips using only those! Did not use their snorkel+mask. Must get one if you wear specs - otherwise go all the way there and everything blur-blur - can't appreciate the corals and stuff.

Actually, if you are wearing powered goggles, you can still use a snorkel to breathe. Just attach the snorkel to the elastic band of the goggles and remember to breathe in through your mouth. To prevent water getting into your nose, breathe out through your nose or wear a noseclip. This will allow your face to remain underwater and enjoy the sights without having to surface for air.
