"I don't know...I wasn't really expecting you to answer." She stated honestly, it had just been kind of wishful thinking on her part when she had dialed the familiar numbers and listened to it ring, more than expecting to hear the familiar beeping and the operator telling her that the number had been disconnected instead of his deep, husky voice. She wasn't sure if he meant that he was in the same boat because he was thinking about her or because he couldn't sleep but either way, she just liked the sound of his voice. He sounded different than Kevin, his voice was deeper, more manly and it sent tingles down her back, a reaction Kevin never invoked. If she took a deep breath, she would swear she could smell the lingering scent of his cologne and spicey woodsy smell that was just totally Jake Foxx and no one else. Looking up, she eyed the stars in the crisp night air before she spoke again. "Why can't you sleep?" She questioned, her voice soft, nearly a whisper. She really didn't want to wake Kevin up and have him come out and ask her what was going on. Kevin never really got angry with her but he was just so good to her that she felt like a raging bitch whenever she did anything that hurt him or made him disappointed in her.
