. . . if there were 30 million people who recognize that something is wrong with respect to our Constitution. I've yet to find more than 2 or 3 church members (not including Internet friends) who even have a clue what the Constitution is about. One member that I argued virorously with made the statement that the Constitution says that all men were created equal. At that point, I knew I was dealing with a dunce.

I was also shocked, quite a while ago when there was discussion about the first amendment and the concern that few people could name the five rights that are given to us in the first amendment. FIVE? How about ZERO, NADA, ZILCH! If the government has the power to grant us rights, it also have the power to take them away and I will never agree to giving the government that power. Rights are from our creator, which is why they are inalienable.

My father, who I love and respect, is very typical of what I see in members of the Church. He doesn't believe that Bush has done anything wrong per the Constitution. His argument to me is that if he has, the Supreme Court would have stopped him. He regards decisions of the Supreme Court as law. My father doesn't even understand the process of how laws are made or the fact that the Supreme Court is our servant, not our master. It is our duty to interpret the Constitution. It was written for "we the people". Then we can properly assess whether or not our leaders and the USSC are doing their job. Those who are willing to be spoon fed by government will not be the ones who help to fight our cause.

30 million would be great. Maybe there are 30 million who are "mad as hell and not going to take this anymore." But it would be nice if most of them knew WHAT they were fighting for. It's like the guy who complains about taxes because his taxes are being used to pay for illegal aliens. He overlooks the fact that income taxes are illegal to start out with and have no basis of law. Stuff like that . . . well, I'm starting to ramble, and when I do, I know it's time to stop.

Jay
