A few years ago, I rescued a little girl crested from a shelter. When the girl at the shelter brought her to me, this little girl started snarling and growling. I couldn't touch her at all. The girl put her in a crate in my truck and I took her home. I opened up the crate at home and let her come out when she was ready. For about 4 days or so Minnie wouldn't come near any of us. She was ok with the other dogs, but we couldn't touch her, and if we did manage to get a little pet in, she would just scream. Finally, when she was more trusing of us, she started coming over to us. Now she is just fine with us. She still doesn't like any strangers, but is very loving with us.
