Before the winner is announced on the night, artists from the top 50 will exclusively perform some of their own material, and a series of Scottish covers to fit the occasion. The List magazine published a guide to the ‘50 Best Scottish Bands of all Time’ in October, sponsored by Orange, and since then a text voting line has been open for the general public to vote for their favourite Scottish band. Tickets for the party will only be available through Orange, The List, Radio 1 and Radio Scotland. Those keen to sample this unique music event should keep reading The List and Scotland on Sunday for more information in the New Year. Live material from the party will be broadcast by Vic Galloway on Radio 1 on January 13, from 7.30pm, and Radio Scotland on January 17, from 8pm.
