Well kids, it's hard to believe, but I'm a California girl no longer!! Yes, I've packed up the kits and kaboodles and am now residing in lovely Denver, Colorado. (Are there any BCR fans out in these parts?) So if you were wondering why I've been so scarce lately..it's been a heck of a year so far for me. After vigorously applying and interviewing for several different promotions this year (an exhausting process to say the least), the "right opportunity" finally came along - and I am now the new sales representative for the Universal Music Group in Colorado/Utah! I'll be spending my days hanging out in record stores and my nights hanging out at the music venues! Woo hoo!

I'm very excited about the new position, and being a "resident rep" (which means I get to work "from home" - yay!) but I've been positively crazed trying to find a place to live AND train my replacement AND learn a new job AND pack and move everything and truck it across country! In fact, we're still waiting for our furniture to be delivered - and our phone lines to be turned on! So things will be a bit chaotic for another week or so at least, but I'm hoping once I get settled in that I might actually be able to show my face around here a little more often (and, dare I say - plan the occasional BCR chat now and then?)

Of course I'm just a wee bit intimidated by the thought of living in a place where it SNOWS during the winter (gulp!) - guess I'll always be a California gal at heart! But the weather's been lovely so far - temps are still in the 80's here (which I have to say beats the foggy summer weather in SF by a mile) so I can't complain too much! Anyway, just wanted to let y'all know what's been keeping me busy...and I promise to check in more often now that at least 95% of the craziness is behind me! Hope everyone is doing well out there!

Wow, Connie! Quite a move for you, isn't it? I hear Colorado is beautiful, though. Was that snow I saw on your forecast map for today? (NT)Becky (another snow bunny from water winter wonderland, Michigan)03:51:56 10/10/05 Mon
I have family in the Denver area and they just love it. Cousin Craig says it snows some in the winter, but it usually doesn't last for too long. Enjoy the snow, Connie! And keep your gas tank 1/2 full during the winter months just in case you get into trouble! Also, jumper cables are a good investment in cold weather states. (NT)charlie14:01:16 10/11/05 Tue
Wow, Connie, I am sooo jealous of your job, how can I get me one like that?? Have fun setting up the new home and enjoy the job. Cheers to you. (NT)Shaz20:43:49 10/16/05 Sun
