i remember that day like it was yesterday. i was on vacation in santa fe, new mexico. my best friend and i had gone out to a couple of bars and came home late that night. her husband knew that i was a big diana fan. the second we walked through the door and saw his face i knew someone had died. he didn't know how to tell me, then he just broke out in tears and gave us the news. i left for california the next day and drove the 14 hours in dead silence. having lost my only sibling two years earlier i was really in a daze.
